Thought of the Day

Scott's thought of the day:

The problem with autocracy is that the people inevitably come to loathe the State. The problem with Democracy is that the people inevitably come to loathe each other.

I Woke Up In Bizarro Land and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt

So, I wake up this morning, and apparently up is down, right is wrong, and Democrats have become sexist assholes. Go figure.

Seriously, if Hillary Clinton had gotten the nomination, and Chelsea was a pregnant 17 year old - what would the response be like if a Republican told her to 'go home and get her house in order'? They would be shitting kittens. But it's apparently perfectly acceptable to first accuse a VP candidate of faking a pregnancy to cover for her daughter, who it turns out couldn't have been pregnant then because she is now, and the two overlap. THEN, when you can no longer try and beat that drum because the daughter is pregnant, you call he a bad mother who didn't educate her daughter about sex or birth control.

Yes, because no one has ever done ANYTHING their parents told them not to. I suppose Al Gore can't be against kids smoking pot because his son was busted with dope? Real quality logic there.

Democrats use Palin pick to prove feminism is dead

Didn't take long for the Dems to screw up their convention bounce, now did it?

The truly ironic thing is - as little credit as I generally give Obama when it comes to intelligence, he seems to be the only one smart enough to realize that viciously attacking Palin is going to lose him the election.

Let's see. You've got a ton of REALLY pissed off Clinton supporters threatening to vote for McCain, and their primary gripe is how he 'viciously attacked' (their words, just look for any of the interviews outside the DNC by her supporters) her. So how do you win them back? By viciously attacking a woman and her mentally challenged child. Oh, and calling her daughter a fat skank.

Wheels within wheels folks. What they don't tell you though, is that they're all being spun by hamsters.

Oh, and the fact that the media waited almost a month before jumping on the Edwards story, but managed to publish this EVERYWHERE overnight without so much as a quick fact check is just the icing on the cake.
